We work carefully through beds and borders, removing weeds, deadheading, edging and pruning where appropriate while preserving the shape and character of established planting. The aim is a garden that feels cared for rather than simply cleared.

Good border care takes patience. Hand weeding, deadheading, edging and selective cutting back help the planting look intentional without stripping away the texture and character that make the garden its own.
The work changes through the year. Some visits are about controlling weeds and restoring definition; others involve deadheading, removing tired growth or giving a plant room to develop. Knowing what to leave alone matters too.
Focused attention or care that continues
Beds and borders can form part of regular whole-garden care or receive a focused seasonal visit. Heavily overgrown planting may benefit from a thoughtful reset first, followed by lighter care that preserves the shape we uncover.
This is maintenance of established planting, not a garden-design or construction service. If the request involves redesigning borders, major clearance or new hard landscaping, describe it in the quote so we can confirm whether the work falls within scope.

Tell us about the work, the garden’s condition and access, and add a few photos if you have them. We use that picture to recommend either four hours at £160 or a full day at £320 with one Surrey Leaf gardener.
If your garden needs a closer look, we review it personally rather than forcing it through an automatic price. That judgement helps us recommend the right amount of care and agree the priorities before work begins.
